Treyarch and Raven Software have officially unveiled the next chapter in the legendary Black Ops series – and it’s not for the faint of heart. Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is launching later in 2025 and takes us to the year 2035, where the world order has collapsed, and fear has become the ultimate weapon.

David Mason Returns – and It’s Going to Be Dark

Black Ops 7 is a direct sequel to Black Ops 6 and Black Ops 2, making it the first back-to-back release in the sub-franchise’s history. The story picks up 40 years later and follows David Mason and his unit as they face a new enemy who isn’t just after territory – but your mental stability.

It’s no longer just about bullets and explosions – this is about manipulation, technological superiority, and psychological warfare in a world teetering on the edge of collapse.

Co-op Campaign, Round-Based Zombies, and Next-Gen Multiplayer

Whether you prefer intense solo missions or squadding up with friends, BO7 promises the full package. The co-op campaign is set to be more dynamic than ever, and the multiplayer experience will be packed with new maps, weapons, and mechanics that match the semi-futuristic 2035 setting.

But let’s be honest – many are waiting for just one thing: Zombies. The iconic game mode returns in classic round-based format, and this time we’re diving even deeper into the dark Dark Aether universe.
