Marvel is bringing in the next generation’s genius, and she’s not afraid to push the big buttons. Or the red transmutation circles.

Dominique Thorne returns as Riri Williams in Ironheart, and if you’re thinking “Iron Man clone,” think again. The trailer for the new Disney+ series kicks off strong – with both super high-tech suit gear and… magical powers?

Technology vs. Sorcery – MCU Gets Mystical

Riri isn’t just welding in her garage – she’s drawing ritual circles and boosting her suit with occult energies. It’s not that she’s suddenly become a witch, but rather the villain The Hood (Anthony Ramos) gets involved. He’s a power-driven gang leader with connections to dark forces – and yes, he has a hood that resembles more D&D than Tony Stark.

The series takes place in the aftermath of Wakanda Forever, where Riri is back in Chicago trying to find her way – not as a billionaire, but with a mind that can build its own arsenal. And yes, she’s got her own AI: N.A.T.A.L.I.E., inspired by her old comic book friend.

Ironheart Premieres June 24 – With Three Episodes at Once

The series will be Marvel’s final installment in Phase 5, with the first three of the six episodes dropping simultaneously on June 24, 2025, on Disney+. Expect a cocktail of sci-fi and supernatural action, served with welding sparks and demonic flair.
